How to Create a New Page with Categorized Blog Posts on the Menu Bar
Do you know that you can actually make a list of categorized blog posts and show them in a Page in Blogger?
If you have created Pages in your blog earlier, then this is going to be very easy for you. Creating Pages in blogger is the same as creating Posts.
If you haven't yet and if you don't know then please read How To Add a New Page to Your Blog before reading the steps below.
In this blog post, I am going to show you how I added a new Page "Interview with Business Consultants" that shows all the blog posts with the label "Business Consultants" assigned to them.
Here are the easy steps to do it. I am assuming that you know how to edit the Layout tab of your Blogger template.
Step 1: Click the "Edit" link in the Pages gadget
Click on "Add to external link" below the 'Pages to show' subheading.
Step 2: Configure the "Page List" Gadget
Step 3: Create the Page
In the "New Page" pop-up screen, enter the Page title. I have given the Page title as "Interview with Business Consultants".
To get the URL that has to go in the Web address (URL) text box, you first have to search your blog using the keyword/label. The keyword/label for this Page is "business consultant". So, how can you do that? There are two ways to do it.
One way is to find out from the label of the blog post. Go to any blog post that has your chosen label and click on it to get the results for that label.
For me, it is "business consultant". So I go to this blog post "An Interview with a Supply Chain Management Expert" and click on the label "business consultant". And the URL for this result would be "http://buildbizonline.blogspot.in/search/label/business%20consultant "
If you don't want to do that and if you want to find the URL quickly then you can use this general URL by replacing the tags with <Your blog address> and your chosen <label name> - HTTP://<Your blog address>/search/label/<label name>
The other way to find the URL is to use the search option. I used the search bar at the top to get the URL.
In that case, the URL would look like this http://buildbizonline.blogspot.in/search?q=business+consultant
Copy and paste the URL from your browser. Click on "Save Link" to save the changes in the configuration. But when you use this method, you will not only get the list of all the posts that are labelled with the chosen keyword but all the posts that use this keyword in their content.
Step 4: Display your new Page on your Blog
When you return to the "Configure Page List" Gadget, you will see your new page added to the list.
Click on "Save" to save this order. You can always change the order of the Page. I wanted the "Contact Uma" Page to be displayed after the "Interview with Business Consultants" Page. So I clicked and dragged it to the bottom of the list.
This is how the Pages are arranged on my blog.
I hope this helped you. If you need my help or if you have any questions then please write an email to email@example.com or post it in the comments below. I will get back to you.
