How to Add Pinterest Button to Blogger

Show your photos and creative images to the world using Pinterest button

Do you know that you can actually share your photos with the world by just one click? No?  Yes, you can.

If you have a website or a blog and if you want to share your photos or your images, then you can use a social website Pinterest to share your creativity with the world. World? Right, people from any part of the world can see your images and photographs.

How can you share the images from your blog posts to Pinterest?

You just have to follow these 2 easy steps to add a "Pinterest" button to all the photos of your blog posts.

Step 1 - Backup the HTML code

We are going to edit the HTML code of the blog template. So we should always back up your Blogger template first! Why? Because that will help us to restore the template back to its original version if something goes wrong.

How to back up your Blogger template?

Go to the dashboard. Click on "Template" from the list on the left side. Click on "Backup / Restore"

Click on "Download full template" and save the file to your computer.

Step 2 - Edit HTML

Click on "Edit Html" button. Look for </body> in the html code.

If you want me to show you how to find the </body> in the HTML code, then read below. Else go to the subheading "copy and paste the below script" directly.

Click inside (in the white space) the edit HTML frame and press "ctrl" and "f" keys simultaneously on your keyboard. You will find the search text box at the right top corner of the HTML frame. Type </body> and press "enter" . You will find the highlighted </body> in the HTML code.

Copy and Paste the below script

Copy and paste the below script just before the </body>

<!-- Please call pinit.js only once per page -->
<script type="text/javascript" async  data-pin-height="28" data-pin-hover="true" src="//"></script>

Delete "async" from the code.

Click on "Save Template". You are done.

Now, go to any of your blog posts, hover your mouse on any image or photo. You will find the Pinterest button at the top left corner of the image. Click on the "Pin It" icon to pin it to a pinterest board.

Choose your own Button type and appearance

If you would like to choose different button type and appearance, go to the official Pinterest widget builder.

I hope my instructions were clear. How did it help you?
